قال الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب، الخميس، إنّ الولايات المتحدة ستنفذ "ضربة قوية جدا" ضد إيران الليلة.

وكتب ترامب عبر منصة "تروث سوشال"، أن "البحرية الإيرانية وسلاحها الجوي ومنظومات الرادار والدفاعات المضادة للطائرات وسائر وسائل الدفاع الأخرى، إلى جانب معظم قدراتها الهجومية، قد انتهت."

وأضاف ترامب أن الولايات المتحدة ستسيطر، في وقت ليس ببعيد، على جزيرة خرج الإيرانية وغيرها من منشآت البنية التحتية النفطية، وستتولى "السيطرة الكاملة على أسواق النفط والغاز الإيرانية"، على حد تعبيره، مشبهًا ذلك بما قال إنه حدث في فنزويلا.

ووصف التجربة بأنها "تسير بصورة رائعة لكل من فنزويلا والولايات المتحدة الأميركية".
