قال مسؤولو الإطفاء والإنقاذ في مقاطعة أرلينجتون بولاية فرجينيا الأميركية في منشور على منصة إكس إن أفراد الإطفاء يحققون اليوم الخميس في واقعة تتعلق بمواد خطرة في وزارة الدفاع الأميركية (البنتاغون).

ونقلت شبكة سي.إن.إن عن مصادر لم تسمها أن المبنى أُغلق وأن عملية إجلاء تمت لأفراد من عدة طوابق.

وأشار المتحدث باسم البنتاغون إلى رصد مشكلة تتعلق بجودة الهواء مما استلزم اتخاذ تدابير احترازية حتى نحدد خطورتها.
