قال الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترامب، الخميس إن الولايات المتحدة لا تزال تتحدث مع إيران لكن أفضل السيطرة على جزيرة خرج، مركز البنية التحتية النفطية في إيران.

وأضاف ترامب خلال مقابلة مع شبكة فوكس نيوز الأميركية، أنه يفضل عد استهداف الجسور ومحطات الطاقة في إيران، لكن أشار إلى أنه سيكون هنالك المزيد من القصف الليلة على إيران.

ولفت إلى أنه "لن يتمكن الناس من شرب الماء ولا أريد أن يحدث ذلك."

وشنّت الولايات المتحدة فجر الخميس موجة ضربات جديدة على إيران ردت عليها طهران بإعلان ضرب قواعد عسكرية في المنطقة وإغلاق مضيق هرمز أمام حركة الملاحة بالكامل واستهداف أي سفينة تحاول عبوره.

واتّهم ترامب إيران بـ"المماطلة" في المفاوضات الرامية إلى إنهاء الحرب المستمرّة منذ 3 أشهر.
