قال الناطق الإعلامي باسم مديرية الأمن العام إنّه وبعد جمع المعلومات عن أحد تجّار المخدرات ومروجيها وتحديد مكان وجوده اليوم الثلاثاء، جنوب العاصمة تحركت قوّة أمنيّة للمكان وعند محاولة القبض عليه بادر بإطلاق عيارات نارية باتجاه القوة وتم تطبيق قواعد الاشتباك لحين ضبطه وكان برفقته شخصان آخران، وتبينت إصابته بعيار ناري وأُسعف للمستشفى وما لبث أنْ فارق الحياة.
