شدّد الرئيس الأوكراني فولوديمير زيلينسكي الخميس، على أن العقوبات على موسكو يجب ألاّ تُرفع، معلّقا بذلك على مقتل 14 أوكرانيا على الأقل جراء ضربات روسية بمئات الصواريخ والمسيّرات خلال الـ24 ساعة الماضية.

وقال زيلينسكي "لقد أثبتت ليلة أخرى أن روسيا لا تستحق أي تخفيف في السياسة العالمية أو أي رفع للعقوبات"، مضيفا أن "روسيا تراهن على الحرب".

وكانت الولايات المتحدة علّقت بعض العقوبات على النفط الروسي المخزَّن في البحر، في قرار يهدف إلى تخفيف أثر الارتفاع الحاد في أسعار الخام الناجم عن الحرب في الشرق الأوسط. وأعلنت الأربعاء أنها لن تمدّد هذا الإعفاء.
