رحّبت وزارة الخارجية الإيرانية الخميس بالإعلان عن وقف لإطلاق النار في لبنان بين إسرائيل وحزب الله.

وقال المتحدث باسم الخارجية إسماعيل بقائي إن "وقف الحرب في لبنان كان جزءا من تفاهم وقف إطلاق النار بين إيران والولايات المتحدة بوساطة باكستان"، مشيرا الى ان إيران شدّدت "منذ البداية، خلال محادثاتها مع مختلف الأطراف الإقليمية والدولية، (...) على ضرورة إرساء وقفٍ متزامن لإطلاق النار في كامل المنطقة، بما في ذلك لبنان".

وأكدت كل من إسرائيل والولايات المتحدة أن المسار اللبناني منفصل عن المسار الإيراني في المفاوضات.
