قال مسؤول في هيئة الكهرباء بنيبال اليوم الأربعاء إن هناك احتمالا كبيرا للعثور على عشرات العمال أحياء بعد أن حوصروا لمدة أسبوع في غرفة تحت ‌الأرض بمحطة راسواجادي لتوليد الطاقة الكهرومائية في البلاد، عقب الفيضانات المفاجئة المدمرة والمميتة.

وقال أمسو كيران شاهي، عضو مجلس إدارة هيئة الكهرباء بنيبال، لرويترز "في راسواجادي، نعتقد أن 46 شخصا محاصرون في بناء يشبه الغرفة داخل النفق".

وأضاف "إننا واثقون تماما من أنهم ⁠سيكونون على قيد الحياة بعد مرور أسبوع ... لأنهم يمتلكون طعاما وماء هناك داخل المبنى".
