نفت إيران أن تكون قد أطلقت صواريخ نحو الإمارات الثلاثاء، وذلك عقب اتهام أبوظبي لطهران بإطلاق صاروخين بالستيين قالت إنهما كانا يستهدفان "الملاحة البحرية"، وأن أحدهما سقط في مياهها الإقليمية.

ونقل بيان للوزارة عن المتحدث باسم الخارجية اسماعيل بقائي رفضه "بشكل قاطع مزاعم دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة بشأن إطلاق إيران صاروخا نحو أراضيها"، معتبرا أن ذلك "يتنافى مع مبدأ حسن الجوار ويضر بالجهود الرامية إلى بناء الثقة بين دول المنطقة ومنع تفاقم حالة انعدام الأمن فيها". وحضّ الأطراف الإقليميين "على الامتناع عن توجيه اتهامات لا أساس لها ضد الجمهورية الإسلامية الإيرانية".
