أبدى الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب الأحد "سعادته البالغة" بتوقيع اتفاقية دفاعية بين السعودية وتركيا وباكستان، واصفا ذلك بأنه "خطوة أولى كبيرة وجريئة وهامة".

وكتب ترامب عبر منصته "تروث سوشيال"، "يسعدني جدا أن أرى السعودية وتركيا وباكستان قد وقّعت مؤخرا، وأخيرا، اتفاقية مكة للدفاع المشترك"، مضيفا "هذا يُظهر كيف يتحد الشرق الأوسط، وكيف ستتمكن الدول أخيرا من الدفاع عن نفسها بشكل أكثر فعالية".
