اقتربت حرائق الغابات اليوم الأحد من ضواحي مدينة بوردو الفرنسية القديمة الواقعة في قلب مناطق كروم العنب، في حين تحاول فرنسا وإسبانيا السيطرة على الحرائق التي أجبرت مئات الآلاف على الفرار.

وأجلت السلطات نحو 220 ألف شخص في فرنسا وأكثر من 75 ألفا في إسبانيا من منازلهم، ‌وأمرت 30 ألفا تقريبا بالاحتماء في أماكنهم.

وفي فرنسا، اجتاحت الحرائق شبه جزيرة كاب فيريه على ساحل المحيط الأطلسي، وهي وجهة سياحية شهيرة، وانتشرت عبر المناطق المحيطة بمدينة بوردو حيث يسعى رجال الإطفاء جاهدين لمنع النيران من الوصول إلى عاصمة المنطقة.
