وصف الرئيس البرازيلي لويٍ إيناسيو لولا دا سيلفا الرسوم الجمركية الأمريكية الجديدة بأنها غير عادلة و"خطأ استراتيجي"، وذلك في مقال رأي نشرته اليوم الأحد صحيفة ‌واشنطن بوست.

وحذر من أنها ستضر بالشراكة الثنائية بين البلدين وستؤدي إلى ارتفاع التكاليف على المستهلكين الأمريكيين.
