أعلن نيوكاسل يونايتد المنافس في الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز لكرة القدم اليوم الاثنين وفاة كيفن كيجان قائد ومدرب إنجلترا السابق عن 75 عاما.

وكانت عائلة كيجان ونادي نيوكاسل قد أعلنا في يناير كانون الثاني أن كيجان، الفائز مرتين بجائزة أفضل لاعب كرة قدم في أوروبا، يخضع لعلاج من السرطان، دون الكشف عن تفاصيل ‌مرضه.

وفي يونيو حزيران، كشف كيجان، الذي كان يطلق عليه ألقاب مثل (الملك كيف) و(مايتي ماوس) وكان أحد أكثر الشخصيات تأثيرا في جيله في كرة القدم الإنجليزية، أنه مصاب بسرطان في المرحلة الرابعة.
