أحبطت المنطقة العسكرية الجنوبية، فجر الخميس، محاولة تهريب كمية كبيرة من المواد المخدرة بوساطة طائرة مسيّرة (درون) على واجهتها الغربية ضمن منطقة مسؤوليتها، وذلك بالتنسيق مع الأجهزة الأمنية العسكرية وإدارة مكافحة المخدرات.

وقالت القوات المسلحة في بيان، إنه جرى تطبيق قواعد الاشتباك بعد رصد الطائرة من قِبل قوات حرس الحدود وإسقاطها داخل الأراضي الأردنية، وتم تحويل المضبوطات للجهات المختصة.
