تراجعت أسعار النفط الأربعاء بعد الارتفاع على مدى ثلاث جلسات متتالية، إذ يترقب المستثمرون التطورات المتعلقة بوقف إطلاق النار الهش في حرب إيران، كما توجه الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب إلى الصين لعقد قمة حاسمة مع الرئيس شي جين بينغ.

وانخفضت العقود الآجلة لخام برنت 82 سنتا أو 0.76% إلى 106.95 دولارات للبرميل بحلول الساعة 0051 بتوقيت غرينتش، وانخفضت العقود الآجلة لخام غرب تكساس الوسيط الأميركي 66 سنتا أو 0.65% لتصل إلى 101.52 دولار.

وحوم الخامان بالقرب من 100 دولار للبرميل أو أكثر منذ أن بدأت الولايات المتحدة وإسرائيل هجمات على إيران في نهاية شباط وأغلقت طهران مضيق هرمز فعليا.

وارتفعت أسعار النفط بأكثر من 3% الثلاثاء، مواصلة المكاسب السابقة مع تقلص الآمال في وقف إطلاق نار دائم بين الولايات المتحدة وإيران، مما أضعف احتمالات إعادة فتح المضيق، الذي يمر عبره عادة حوالي خُمس إمدادات النفط والغاز الطبيعي المسال العالمية.
