دعا رئيس الوزراء الماليزي أنور إبراهيم إلى الإفراج الفوري عن جميع النشطاء والمتطوعين الماليزيين والدوليين، مؤكدًا أن "الأسطول كان في مهمة إنسانية تحمل مدنيين غير مسلحين ومساعدات ضرورية للغاية لشعب غزة".

من جانبه، قال رئيس الوزراء الباكستاني شهباز شريف: "جريمتهم الوحيدة أنهم نقلوا مساعدات للشعب الفلسطيني المنكوب. يجب أن يتوقف هذا العمل الهمجي فورا".
