اعلن دونالد ترامب الأربعاء أنه عين الجنرال السابق كيث كيلوغ المقرب منه للغاية، موفدا الى أوكرانيا وروسيا.

وكتب الرئيس الأميركي المنتخب على منصته تروث سوشال: "هو معي منذ البداية. معا، سنحصل على السلام بالقوة وسنجعل أميركا والعالم آمنين مجددا".

ووجه ترامب انتقادات شديدة الى مليارات الدولارات التي قدمتها الولايات المتحدة الى أوكرانيا، ووعد بوضع حد للحرب بين موسكو وكييف حتى قبل أن يتم تنصيبه في كانون الثاني/يناير، ولكن من دون أن يشرح كيفية قيامه بذلك.

وسبق للجنرال السابق كيلوغ ان ترأس مجلس الامن القومي، أي مكتب السياسة الخارجية في البيت الأبيض، خلال ولاية ترامب الأولى.
