قام فريق طبي متخصص بجراحة الفم والوجه والفك العلوي في الخدمات الطبية الملكية برئاسة مدير طب الأسنان في الخدمات الطبية مستشار جراحة الفم والفكين العميد الطبيب زهير مهيدات بإجراء عملية نوعية بزراعة جهاز في عظم الوجه والجمجمة لفتاه تبلغ من العمر ٢٠ عاماً، كانت قد فقدت كامل أسنانها و عظم الفك العلوي اثر مضاعفات طبية سابقة .

وتم زرع جهاز في عظم الوجه والجمجمة لتعويض عظام الفك المفقودة وتعويض كامل الأسنان في الفك العلوي، لتستفيد المريضة من القدرة الوظيفية على النطق ومضغ الطعام، إضافة إلى المظهر الجمالي للوجه والفم والأسنان.
