في خطوة جديدة ضمن الإجراءات الاحترازية للحد من تفشي فيروس كورونا المستجد في السعودية، دشن الرئيس العام لشؤون المسجد الحرام والمسجد النبوي الشيخ عبدالرحمن السديس، السبت، الروبوت الذكي لتوزيع عبوات مياه زمزم دون تلامس.

وأوضح السديس أن التقنية الحديثة باتت تسخر لخدمة البشرية خصوصًا في ظل تفشي جائحة كورونا، والتي ستحافظ على سلامة قاصدي الحرمين الشريفين.

وأشاد الرئيس العام لشؤون الحرمين بما وصل له العلم الحديث والتطور الرقمي في خدمة البشرية كافة، حيث يعمل الروبوت على توزيع عبوات مياه زمزم دون تلامس ودون أن يعيق حركة قاصدي الحرمين، وفقا لوكالة الأنباء السعودية "وام".
