ضمن احتفالية مئوية تأسيس الدولة الأردنية، تطلق وزارة الثقافة بعد غد السبت برعاية وزير الثقافة الدكتور باسم الطويسي، "البرنامج الوطني للقراءة " الذي يقام في قاعة بلدية المفرق الكبرى.

ويشتمل البرنامج على تطوير مكتبة الأسرة الأردنية بإنشاء مكتبات عامة، وجائزة القراءة ومؤشر القراءة الوطني.

ويشتمل البرنامج على تطوير مكتبة الأسرة التي تضم مجموعة من الإصدارات بمناسبة مئوية الدولة الأردنية في الدراسات الأردنية ، والتراث الأردني ، إضافة إلى إصدارات متنوعة في المعارف العامة، وأدب أطفال.

وتتوزع مراكز البيع على 28 مركزا في سائر محافظات المملكة، توفر الكتب بأسعار رمزية
