انضمت الفنانة هالة فاخر إلى أسرة مسلسل «التوبة»، الذي يتم تصويره حاليا بعد ان منحها مخرج المسلسل محمد النقلي دورا هاما فيه وفقا لصحيفة «الشرق الأوسط».
والمسلسل الذي كتبه سلامة حمودة يلعب بطولته محمود ياسين في ثالث تعاون بينهما بعد مسلسل «العصيان» بجزأيه الأول والثاني. هالة فاخر أكدت أنها تقوم في المسلسل بدور فتحية زوجة لموظف بسيط يحصل بالصدفة على حقيبة يكتشف ان بها أموالا طائلة وبعد ان يأخذها نفسه يواجه العديد من الأزمات والمشاكل. هالة فاخر قالت أيضا «إنني رشحت لبطولة الفيلم السينمائي (ليلة سقوط بغداد) مع النجم الكوميدي الشاب احمد عيد ومشاركة حسن حسني ومنة شلبي ويبدأ تصويره مع بداية العام الجديد» .. وهذا الفيلم يمثل عودة للسينما بعد غياب طويل
