كشفت دراسة أعدتها الباحثة في الجامعة الأردنية نتالي حسن صرصور طريقة إنتاج بروتين (البكتيريوسين) الذي يعد فعالا في إنتاج مواد مضادة للميكروبات تتمتع بثبات عال وفعالية مضادة الأمر الذي يجعله مرشحا للاستعمال في الصناعات الغذائية و المجال الطبي. وأظهرت الدراسة، التي أشرفت عليها لجنة مكونة من الرئيس الدكتورة هالة الخيمي، أن للبكتيريوسين المنتج فعالية (ضيقة ) الطيف اقتصر تأثيرها على أنواع البكتيريا العصوية.
وتكونت اللجنة، التي أوصت بمنح درجة الدكتوراة للباحثة صرصور، من عضوية الأستاذ الدكتور عاصم الشهابي والأستاذ الدكتور محمد عصام اليماني والدكتورة رلى درويش وعميد كلية العلوم في جامعة مؤتة الأستاذ خالد خليفات، ورئيس قسم العلوم الحياتية في الجامعة الأردنية، مندوب عميد كلية الدراسات العليا الدكتور سعيد دمنهورية.
