اختيرت مدينة المجد السكنية وإسكان جريبا وإسكان البتراوي في محافظة الزرقاء ضمن القائمة القصيرة لجائزة شنغهاي العالمية للتنمية المستدامة في المدن لعام 2026، التي تضم 15 مدينة ومشروعا مرشحا من أصل 92 مدينة تقدمت للمشاركة من 34 دولة.

وأوضحت المؤسسة لوكالة الأنباء الأردنية (بترا)، أن اختيار المشروعات الثلاثة جاء في إطار مشاركة المؤسسة العامة للإسكان والتطوير الحضري في الدورة الرابعة من الجائزة، التي أقيمت في مدينة فوتشو الصينية، ضمن فعاليات الاحتفال باليوم العالمي للمدن.
