دانت دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، بأشد العبارات الهجوم الذي استهدف ناقلة الغاز الطبيعي المسال "المايده" التابعة لشركة قطر لنقل الغاز، في مياه الخليج العربي.

وأكد بيان لوزارة الخارجية الإماراتية، الليلة الماضية، أن هذا الهجوم يمثل تهديداً جسيماً لسلامة الملاحة البحرية وإمدادات الطاقة العالمية، إضافة إلى آثاره البيئية الجسيمة، ويشكل تصعيداً خطيراً يستهدف أمن واستقرار الممرات المائية الحيوية.

وأعربت الإمارات عن تضامنها مع قطر، مشددة على ضرورة احترام القانون الدولي، وضمان سلامة وأمن السفن التجارية وناقلات الطاقة وطاقمها وعدم تعريض أمن الملاحة البحرية وإمدادات الطاقة للخطر.
