أعلنت القيادة المركزية الأمريكية أن الهجمات الإيرانية خلال الأشهر الأخيرة أسفرت عن مقتل أكثر من 20 شخصاً من البحارة المدنيين، متهمةً طهران باستهداف البنية التحتية المدنية والأحياء السكنية ومنشآت أخرى في دول الخليج.

وقالت القيادة المركزية، إن تصريحات وزير الخارجية الإيراني بشأن عدم استهداف المدنيين في الدول المجاورة غير صحيحة، مؤكدةً أن الهجمات الإيرانية العشوائية واضحة ولا يمكن تبريرها.
