دعت الدول الأعضاء في صندوق النقد الدولي إلى زيادة الدعم للدول التي تواجه تحديات تمويلية قصيرة الأجل ناجمة عن التداعيات السلبية للحروب وارتفاع أسعار الطاقة.

وفي بيان صادر عن رئيس اللجنة الدولية للشؤون النقدية والمالية عقب اجتماع في بانكوك، قالت اللجنة إن المخاطر الاقتصادية لا تزال تميل نحو الجانب السلبي.

وجاء في البيان الصادر عن وزير المالية السعودي محمد الجدعان، رئيس اللجنة الدولية للشؤون النقدية والمالية "تصاعد النزاعات والتوتر التجاري قد يزيد اضطراب طرق التجارة الحيوية، ويؤدي إلى تفاقم ضغوط أسعار السلع، بما في ذلك منتجات الطاقة المكررة، وإلى تدهور أمن الغذاء والطاقة".
