عٌقد في مقر الأمم المتحدة اليوم الخميس، اجتماع برعاية سعودية فرنسية على مستوى وزاري للتحالف الدولي لدعم تطبيق حل الدولتين.

وقال وزير خارجية السعودية، الأمير فيصل بن فرحان آل سعود في مؤتمر صحفي عقب الاجتماع، إن "الخيار الماثل أمامنا واضح: إما الحفاظ على حل الدولتين أو رؤيته وهو يتلاشى على الأرض، إن النافذة تضيق لكنها لم تُغلق، لذا يجب أن نتحرك الآن".

وشدد الوزير السعودي على أن العمل مُلح، مشيراً إلى استمرار الأزمة الإنسانية في غزة وتصاعد العنف والانتهاكات في الضفة الغربية بما في ذلك في القدس، مضيفاً أن التطورات على الأرض تُقوض آفاق إقامة دولة فلسطينية قادرة على الاستمرار.
