أعلن الرئيس دونالد ترامب في وقت مبكر الخميس أن الصين والولايات المتحدة تتفقان في معارضتهما فرض قيود تنظيمية على الذكاء الاصطناعي، مشيرا قبيل قمة مرتقبة مع نظيره شي جينبينغ إلى أن النظام القانوني الأميركي سيتولى ضبط هذه التكنولوجيا.

وقال ترامب مستخدما مصطلحه الجديد لتعريف الذكاء الاصطناعي "سيكون الذكاء الفائق محورا رئيسيا في النقاش، لكنني أريد إبقاء الوضع تماما كما هو عليه"، مضيفا "ذلك هو موقف الصين أيضا، وصمام الأمان لدينا هو وزارة العدل" الأميركية.
