أعلن المتحدث الرسمي باسم قوات تحالف دعم الشرعية في اليمن، اللواء الركن تركي المالكي، اعتراض وتدمير ستة صواريخ باليستية أطلقتها جماعة الحوثي باتجاه مدينتي الطائف وينبع في المملكة العربية السعودية.

وأوضح المالكي، في تصريح نقلته وكالة الأنباء السعودية (واس)، اليوم الخميس، أن الدفاعات الجوية السعودية أحبطت محاولة استهداف المدينتين، مؤكدًا أن تصعيد جماعة الحوثي وانتهاكاتها سيتم التعامل معها بحزم.

وكانت المديرية العامة للدفاع المدني السعودي أعلنت في وقت سابق اليوم زوال الخطر عن محافظات ينبع وجدة وتبوك ومدينة مكة المكرمة ومحافظة الطائف.
