قال مصدر لبناني رسمي إن لقاء السفيرين الإسرائيلي واللبناني انطلق في العاصمة الأمريكية واشنطن، مساء الثلاثاء، لتحريك جمود المفاوضات بين البلدين.

وأفاد المصدر، الذي فضّل عدم الكشف عن هويته، في تصريح للأناضول، بأن "لقاء سفيري لبنان ندى معوض وإسرائيل يحيئيل لايتر انطلق في مقر وزارة الخارجية الأمريكية قبل نحو ساعة (عند الساعة 20:15 ت.غ)".

وأضاف أن السفيرين "سيبحثان بواشنطن التطورات في لبنان وآلية تنفيذ صيغة الإطار" التي تم التوصل إليها في يونيو/حزيران الماضي.

ويُعقد الاجتماع بالتزامن مع إرجاء جولة مفاوضات بين إسرائيل ولبنان، كان من المقرر عقدها الأسبوع الجاري في العاصمة الإيطالية روما، إلى أكتوبر/تشرين الأول المقبل.
