أبلغت سوريا مجلس الأمن الدولي الخميس، أنها بدأت عملية تدمير المواد الكيميائية التي تعود الى حقبة الرئيس السوري المخلوع بشار الأسد.

وقال مندوب دمشق لدى الأمم المتحدة إبراهيم علبي "هذه هي عملية التدمير الأولى منذ تحررنا من النظام السابق". وأضاف "هي أيضا الأولى من نوعها لتدمير مواد كيميائية على الأراضي السورية منذ أكثر من عقد".
