قالت المتحدثة باسم وزارة الخارجية الروسية ماريا زاخاروفا الخميس إنّ روسيا قد تضرب أهدافا عسكرية بريطانية داخل أوكرانيا وخارجها ردا على الضربات الأوكرانية التي تستهدف روسيا باستخدام صواريخ بريطانية.

ودعت زاخاروفا بريطانيا إلى التراجع عما وصفته بالموقف العدائي الذي تتخذه لندن فيما يتعلق بحرب أوكرانيا، والذي قالت إنه ينذر بتصعيد الصراع إلى مستوى جديد تماما.

كانت بريطانيا أعلنت الاثنين أنها ستسمح لكييف بالحصول على تكنولوجيا سرية لبدء إنتاجها الخاص من صواريخ كروز بعيدة المدى من طراز ستورم شادو، القادرة على شن ضربات في عمق الأراضي الروسية.

ووافقت فرنسا بالفعل على منح الترخيص لهذه التكنولوجيا.
