ندد وزير الخارجية الفرنسي جان نويل بارو بالتصريحات "اللاإنسانية" لوزير الأمن القومي الإسرائيلي اليميني المتطرّف إيتمار بن غفير، دعا فيها إسرائيل إلى قتل ما بين 30 و40 شخصا كل ليلة في غزة، بحسب ما صرّح متحدث باسم الحكومة.

وقال بارو في مقابلة مع صحيفة "لا مونتاني" (La Montagne) الفرنسية، "ما يحدث اليوم في الضفة الغربية أمر مخزٍ حقا ويجب أن يثير اشمئزازنا جميعا. ولهذا السبب فرضنا عقوبات على الوزير بن غفير الذي أدلى مؤخرا بتصريحات غير مقبولة ولا إنسانية".
