صرح مصدر عسكري مسؤول في القيادة العامة للقوات المسلحة الأردنية – الجيش العربي، بأن طائرات سلاح الجو الملكي اعترضت وأسقطت، صباح اليوم الأربعاء، أربع طائرات مسيرة قادمة من إيران استهدفت أراضي المملكة.

وبين المصدر أنه لم تسفر عن عملية الاعتراض والإسقاط أية إصابات بشرية أو أضرار مادية.

وأضاف إن فرق سلاح الهندسة الملكي تحركت إلى مواقع سقوط الشظايا، وتعاملت معه وأمنت المواقع وفق الإجراءات الفنية والأمنية المعمول بها.

وأكد المصدر أن القوات المسلحة تواصل مراقبة أجواء المملكة وتحافظ على أعلى درجات الجاهزية العملياتية للتعامل مع أي تهديد يستهدف أمن المملكة وسلامة مواطنيها.
