دانت السعودية الاثنين، إعلان الحوثيين في اليمن فرض حصار بحري على المملكة، في ظل تهديد المتمردين المدعومين من إيران قدرة أكبر مصدر للنفط في العالم على الالتفاف على مضيق هرمز.

وأعربت الخارجية السعودية في بيان "عن إدانة المملكة العربية السعودية بأشد العبارات ما تطرق له ما يسمى المتحدث العسكري التابع لميليشيا الحوثي الإرهابية (...) بحظر الملاحة البحرية على المملكة"، مؤكدة أن الرياض "مستمرة في دعم الشعب اليمني الشقيق وحكومته الشرعية".
