قال الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب الثلاثاء إن الولايات المتحدة "ستتولى أمر" المتمردين اليمنيين الحوثيين المدعومين من إيران، في حال نفذوا تهديدهم بفرض حظر على موانئ السعودية.

وصرح ترامب خلال استقباله الرئيس اللبناني جوزاف عون في البيت الأبيض "اذا حصل أمر كهذا، فسنتولى الأمر". أضاف "تعرفون أننا قمنا بذلك مع الحوثيين سابقا، ولم نسمع منهم شيئا منذ مدة" بعد ذلك، في إشارة الى الضربات التي وجّهتها واشنطن إليهم، قبل التوصل الى اتفاق بوساطة عُمانية في أيار/مايو 2025.
