صرّح مصدر عسكري مسؤول في القيادة العامة للقوات المسلحة الأردنية – الجيش العربي، بأن منظومات الدفاع الجوي اعترضت وأسقطت ثلاثة صواريخ إيرانية من أصل أربعة استهدفت أراضي المملكة، فيما سقط الصاروخ الرابع في منطقة نائية جنوبي المملكة بعيداً عن التجمعات السكانية.

وبيّن المصدر أن الحادثة لم تسفر عن أي إصابات بشرية أو أضرار مادية، مؤكداً أن فرق سلاح الهندسة الملكي باشرت التعامل مع موقع سقوط الصاروخ وتأمينه وفق الإجراءات الفنية والأمنية المعمول بها.

وأكد المصدر أن القوات المسلحة الأردنية – الجيش العربي تواصل مراقبة أجواء المملكة بأعلى درجات الجاهزية، وستتعامل بكل حزم مع أي تهديد يستهدف أمن المملكة وسلامة مواطنيها.
