أسفر هجوم شنّه انفصاليون من الطوارق على قافلة للجيش المالي كانت تغادر مدينة النفيس الاستراتيجية في الشمال، عن مقتل خمسين عسكريا، بحسب ما أفادت مصادر عسكرية ومحلية الأحد.

وهذا الهجوم من بين أكثر الهجمات إيقاعا للقتلى في صفوف الجيش المالي منذ اندلاع النزاع في البلد الواقع في الغرب الإفريقي، قبل 15 شهرا.

وقال مسؤول محلي في شمال البلاد، مقرب من المجلس العسكري الحاكم "الحصيلة الأولية للهجوم فادحة جدا، أكثر من خمسين عسكريا قُتلوا، وهناك 24 أسيرا على الأقل".
