دانت جمهورية مصر العربية بأشد العبارات استهداف ناقلتي نفط إماراتيتين أثناء عبورهما مضيق هرمز، ما يمثل انتهاكاً خطيراً لقواعد القانون الدولي، وتهديداً مباشراً لأمن وسلامة الملاحة البحرية وحرية حركة التجارة في أحد أهم الممرات المائية الدولية.

وأكدت مصر في بيان؛ رفضها الكامل لكافة الأعمال التي تستهدف السفن والمنشآت المدنية أو تعرض أمن الملاحة وإمدادات الطاقة العالمية للخطر، مشددةً على ضرورة الالتزام بقواعد القانون الدولي والكف عن أية ممارسات من شأنها تأجيج التوتر وتوسيع دائرة التصعيد في المنطقة.
