أفادت صحيفة يديعوت أحرونوت، نقلا عن مسؤول، بأن رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو ووزير الأمن يسرائيل كاتس يجريان مباحثات أمنية بشأن التطورات المرتبطة بإيران.

وبحسب الصحيفة، رفعت إسرائيل حالة التأهب إلى الدرجة القصوى تحسبا لاستئناف الحرب مع إيران، في ظل تصاعد التصريحات الأميركية بشأن احتمال توجيه ضربات جديدة لطهران.

وتأتي حالة التأهب الإسرائيلية بعد قول الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب إن من المرجح أن تضرب الولايات المتحدة إيران بقوة مجددا الليلة، مؤكدا أن واشنطن لا تريد أن تحصل إيران على سلاح نووي.

وقال ترامب إن الإيرانيين "يتصرفون بشكل سيئ جدا"، وإن الضربات الإيرانية تمثل انتهاكا للاتفاق المؤقت، مشيرا إلى أن الاتفاق ينص على وقف البرنامج النووي الإيراني، وإلا ستقوم الولايات المتحدة بذلك.
