أعلن قائد المنتخب الجزائري رياض محرز، الجمعة، اعتزاله اللعب دوليا عقب خروج منتخب بلاده من دور الـ32 في بطولة كأس العالم 2026.

وانتهى مشوار الجزائر في المونديال بعد خسارتها أمام سويسرا بنتيجة 2-0 في فانكوفر، لتتواصل عقدتها أمام المنتخبات الأوروبية.

وأصبح محرز (35 عاما و131 يوما) ثاني أكبر لاعب أفريقي يبدأ مباراة في الأدوار الإقصائية لكأس العالم، بعد إدريسا غاي (36 عاما و278 يوما) الذي بدأ مباراة السنغال أمام بلجيكا في دور الـ32 من النسخة الحالية.
