أعلن جيش الاحتلال الإسرائيلي عن تدمير بنية تحتية أسفل الأرض تابعة لجماعة "حزب الله" في بلدة مجدل زون الواقعة بجنوب لبنان، وفقاً لما جاء في بيان مشترك صادر اليوم الأحد عن رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو ووزير الدفاع يسرائيل كاتس.

وأوضح البيان الإسرائيلي المشترك أن الهجوم استهدف نفقاً يبلغ طوله نحو 200 متر في البلدة اللبنانية، مشيراً في الوقت ذاته إلى أن تل أبيب كانت قد أبلغت الإدارة الأمريكية مسبقاً بالعملية العسكرية قبل تنفيذها.
