أحصت السلطات الفرنسية 74 وفاة غرقا منذ 18 حزيران، على صلة بموجة الحر الشديدة التي تضرب البلاد، وفق ما أعلن وزير الداخلية لوران نونييز في مقابلة السبت.

وقال وزير الداخلية إن هذه الوفيات وقعت "بشكل كبير في مسطحات مائية غير مصرّح بها وغير خاضعة للمراقبة: الأنهار والبحيرات والبرك خصوصا"، مشيرا إلى تسجيل "حالات غرق في مسابح خاصة" أيضا.

وأضاف في مقابلة مع صحيفة لوباريزيان نشرت السبت "هناك ظاهرة صدمة حرارية، وأحيانا نشاط مفرط... نلاحظ عددا كبيرا من الوفيات جراء أزمات قلبية".
