اعتمد مجلس الأمن الدولي اليوم الثلاثاء، قرارا يهدف إلى تعزيز المساءلة عن الهجمات الموجهة ضد عمليات حفظ السلام الأممية.

واعتمد القرار الذي حمل الرقم 2823 بالإجماع من قبل أعضاء مجلس الأمن الـ 15، ولقي تأييد 140 دولة عضو من في الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة.

وشدد القرار على أن المساءلة أمر ضروري لردع الهجمات في المستقبل، وضمان فعالية عمليات حفظ السلام. مطالبا جميع الأطراف المعنية إلى التعاون مع الأمم المتحدة "لتيسير تحديد هوية الجناة والتحقيق معهم ومقاضاتهم دون تأخير.
