أعلن رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتانياهو الاثنين أن قواته لها "حرية كاملة" للتصدي لأي تهديد يواجهها في جنوب لبنان، مؤكدا أنها ستظل منتشرة في المنطقة طالما كان ذلك ضروريا.

وقال نتانياهو في بيان "توجيهاتي، وتوجيهات وزير الدفاع، إلى الجيش الإسرائيلي واضحة ولم تتغير: مقاتلونا في جنوب لبنان يتمتعون بحرية كاملة في العمل لإحباط أي تهديد مباشر أو ناشئ لهم أو لسكان الشمال. ولا توجد أي قيود على الجيش الإسرائيلي في هذا الشأن".
