أحرز لاعب المنتخب الوطني للملاكمة، زياد عشيش، الميدالية البرونزية في منافسات وزن 70 كغم ضمن بطولة كأس العالم للملاكمة المقامة في مدينة غوييانغ الصينية.

وخاض زياد نزال الدور نصف النهائي أمام الملاكم الكازاخستاني أبليك خان، قبل أن يتعرض لإصابة حالت دون استكماله النزال، ليكتفي بالميدالية البرونزية.
