أفادت شرطة مدينة نيويورك بعد ظهر الخميس عن إطلاق عيارات نارية في ساحة تايمز سكوير الشهيرة في المدينة، من دون الإبلاغ عن وقوع إصابات.

وأكدت الشرطة لوكالة فرانس برس وقوع الحادث في الساحة التي تستقبل أعدادا كبيرة من مشجعي المنتخبات المشاركة في كأس العالم الذين يزورون المدينة الأميركية منذ انطلاق البطولة الكروية الأسبوع الماضي.

وأظهر مقطع فيديو متداول على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، حالة ذعر تسود بين الناس في تايمز سكوير لحظة سماع دوي الطلقات النارية.
