قال الرئيس دونالد ترامب الأحد إن الاتفاق مع إيران "اكتمل الآن"، معلنا أن مضيق هرمز مفتوح وأن الولايات المتحدة سترفع حصارها البحري.

وكتب ترامب على منصته "تروث سوشال" بعد وقت قصير من إعلان باكستان أن الطرفين توصلا إلى اتفاق "الاتفاق مع جمهورية إيران الإسلامية اكتمل الآن. تهانينا للجميع!".

وأضاف "أجيز كليا فتح مضيق هرمز من دون رسوم مرور، وأجيز في الوقت نفسه الرفع الفوري للحصار البحري الذي تفرضه الولايات المتحدة. يا سفن العالم، شغّلي محركاتك. فليتدفق النفط!".
