أعلنت إسلام آباد الخميس، أنّ المسؤولين الباكستانيين سيواصلون جهود الوساطة لإنهاء الحرب بين واشنطن وطهران على الرغم من التصعيد الأخير، داعية إلى "تسوية بالتفاوض".

وقال المتحدث باسم وزارة الخارجية طاهر أندرابي للصحافيين، إنّ "باكستان تشعر بقلق بالغ إزاء الوضع في المنطقة في ظل التصعيد الأخير... ونحن نرى أنّ الدبلوماسية والحوار يجب أن يكونا المبدأين التوجيهيين لتحقيق تسوية يتم التفاوض عليها لجميع القضايا الخلافية".
