تعهّد وزير الدفاع الإسرائيلي يسرائيل كاتس، الاثنين بمواصلة الحملة العسكرية ضد حزب الله، متجاهلا تحذير إيران من استئناف ضرباتها على الدولة العبرية في حال هاجمت لبنان.

وقال كاتس في بيان: "سيواصل الجيش الإسرائيلي العمل في لبنان ضد منظمة حزب الله"، مضيفا أنه سيضرب ضاحية بيروت الجنوبية ردا على كل هجوم على شمال إسرائيل.

وأعلنت إيران في وقت سابق الاثنين وقف عملياتها ضد إسرائيل، لكنها أضافت أنه "في حال تواصل العدوان والأعمال العدائية، بما في ذلك في جنوب لبنان، سيتم اتخاذ إجراءات أشدّ من ذي قبل".
