أعلن الجيش الأميركي الجمعة أنه قصف مواقع رادار في إيران "دفاعا عن النفس" بعد إسقاط أربع مسيّرات إيرانية قالت واشنطن إنها كانت تهدد حركة الملاحة البحرية المدنية في المنطقة.

وكتبت القيادة المركزية الأميركية (سنتكوم) أن القوات الأميركية "أسقطت أربع مسيّرات (...) أُطلقت باتجاه مضيق هرمز" وهو أمر شكّل "تهديدا مباشرا لحركة الملاحة البحرية الإقليمية".

وأضافت "ثم قامت القوات الأميركية بضرب مواقع رادار إيرانية للمراقبة الساحلية في غوروك وجزيرة قشم وذلك في إطار الدفاع عن النفس ضد أي هجمات جديدة".
